Cable Knit Socks Progress
This yarn color, Madelinetosh Merino Light in Maple Leaf, makes me so happy! The bright green just screams "spring".
After finishing up my giant granny blanket (I plan on finally taking the finished pictures tomorrow! Finally.), I started searching for a new personal project to keep my hands busy even busier than usual! ;) At first I thought about trying this beautiful sock pattern from Spud & Cholë. To be honest, the knee-high length intimidated me a bit. An extra long pair of intricate cable socks would most likely cause me to fall ill of SSS (second sock syndrome). Instead I opted for this beautiful BFF sock pattern. My sock knitting experience is pretty basic so I am excited to learn new skills with this pattern. It is such a fun knit! The cable pattern is pretty simple and I love the look of the yarn's color variations.
The yarn-in-a-teacup solution happened randomly. When my yarn ball kept rolling away from me, I spotted the teacup on the shelf, thought, "Hey, that looks about the same size as my yarn...", put the yarn in the cup...problem solved! I will probably try to make a center pull ball next time, but for now this is working great!
The problem solving abilities of tea are endless.
I hope you are having a great week! How are your projects coming along? What are some of your favorite sock patterns?
