Outfit details: Top - Milk & Honey, Skirt - Milk & Honey, Shoes - Old Navy, Bag - Forever 21, Liberty Flower Ring c/o Onetenzeroseven
This might be super weird, but I've had this outfit and my graduation dress (nail polish colors and all) set aside in my closet for weeks now! Haha. Whee! I'm just so happy! I hope you guys aren't tired of all this end of college stuff. At one point in my life I thought I would never see this day so I'm just super excited that I made it through. :) Yesterday evening I finished my last final and I am officially done with college. What?! It still hasn't hit me yet. I think it will hit me on Saturday when I get my diploma. I decided to dress up a bit for my last presentation because I was living in work out shorts and t-shirts as I studied like crazy the past few weeks. A few of my classmates even noticed that I was dressed up more than usual for class. I guess I just wanted to end college on a high, colorful, polkadot-ed note. ;-)
We were also supposed to bring treats for our class to snack on during our presentations. I decided to make a batch of muddy buddies because they are definitely a crowd pleaser. I got a little carried away and made little treat bags with a yarn bow. It was a special occasion deserving of a little yarn bow, right? ;-) I only ever make this during the holidays so it was a definitely a treat! My class loved them and we had a great time presenting our books and reflecting on our semester.
Here is the Muddy Buddy recipe that I always use from the box of cereal if you want to give them a try. The recipe makes a lot so you can share it with your friends!
9 cups of Crispix
1/2 packaged (12 oz size) Hershey's semi-sweet chocolate chips (1 cup)
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/4 cup butter
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
Measure cereal into large bowl; set aside. Microwave chocolate chips, peanut butter and butter in 1-quart microwavable bowl uncovered on High for 1 minute; Stir. Microwave 30 seconds longer or until mixture is smooth. Stir in vanilla. Pour chocolate mixture over cereal in bowl, stirring until evenly coated. Add in powdered sugar and allow to cool. Store in airtight container in refrigerator.
You guys...I am just so over the moon right now.
I am currently staring at my cap and gown hanging on the hall closet door. It is so blue and baggy and I can't wait to wear it with so much pride in exactly three days. :-)
