I have a few goals for this fall season...
Ok, really just one goal.
I WILL finish this vest pattern from Emma's beautiful book Knitting by Design. This WIP has stared at me and shamed me for far too long. It will be finished. I've worked on it a little bit each day for the last few weeks. I'm definitely making progress! I just really love the Madeline Tosh Vintage yarn color gradient. I can't wait to add the leather pocket and finally wear this piece!
I also have a few fashionable new reads on my nightstand at the moment. I finally got my hands on Issue 2 of Violet magazine. When I found out Leith Clark was leaving Lula to start this new project I couldn't wait to see what she would do next. As I turned each page of the magazine I kept saying "Are you kidding me???" while gaping at the stunning and unique editorials. Thankfully I was alone when I was talking to myself. That sounds better, right? Haha. Leith is such an inspiration to me.
I heard about Women in Clothes on Instagram and was immediately intrigued. I definitely feel like my personal style is transitioning into a new stage. The interviews and real life conversations with women about the decisions they make when they dress, pick out an outfit for the day, the ways clothes impact their mood, are all so relevant and interesting. I started the book over the weekend and can't put it down!
I'm also thankful to have a full mailbox lately. The lovely Kelsey DeLange of Honey and the Hive sent me a print from her shop and card in honor of my book launch. She is one of the sweetest ladies around! Also, my friend Kelsie sent me an incredible package including a beautiful card, print, Black Apple postcard, and more treasures. Snail mail is one of the greatest joys in life. It is such a beautiful way to express love and friendship!
What's on your hooks, needles, and bookshelves these days? I always love new book recommendations!
