Lost in Boston
Oh, Boston…
You are beautiful.
A few weeks ago, I went on a weekend trip to visit my dear friend Danielle. It’s hard to believe that the last time Danielle and I saw each other in person was over a year ago in NYC! Thankfully we had a lot of Skype dates and texts in between. I love that I was able to form such a wonderful friendship as a result of joining this online community.
I took all of these photos with my Pentax K1000 film camera and a few with my iPhone. I am so happy with how they turned out!
After an extremely early flight, Danielle and I spent the first day walking around her neighborhood. We grabbed lunch, looked inside a few shops on Newbury Street, and took her sweet dog Valentine out for a walk. Later that night we stopped by the amazing Gather Here for craft night! Such a fun shop!
The next few days were filled with so much walking that I developed shin splints by the end of the trip. It was so worth it though! We walked all around the Boston Public Gardens and up and down the cobblestone streets of Beacon Hill. I think this was my favorite area of the city. Every single building and storefront depicted years of character and history. The streets of Beacon Hill introduced me to more than a few pretty front doors during our exploration! Also, the delicious food kept my strength up for our long walks around the city. I had my first crepe and my first beer (not at the same time...) on this trip. Shocking, I know. Clearly I have been missing out on life.
Danielle's apartment is so lovely and in such a great location in the city. We walked Valentine out to this park nearby a few times a day. Even in the midst of winter, I couldn't help but be overwhelmed by the beauty of the city. I can't wait to visit again soon!
Ok, did anyone else get my second Austen reference this week? Haha.
I hope you have a wonderful weekend! What are you up to? I'm hoping to work on a few new crochet projects! I can't wait to share.
