Happy October! - Make Pom Pom Pumpkins
Happy October! Pumpkin season is officially here. I thought I would kick off one of my favorite months with a simple pom-pom project, pom-pom pumpkins! My friends and I have a pumpkin-carving/eat-pumpkin-everything party planned this month. I am so "pumped"...get it...haha. Just a little pumpkin humor. Anyway...I thought a few pom-pom pumpkins would make a fun and easy decoration!
Materials:
- Orange yarn (or red if you want to make an apple version!)
- Pom-pom maker
- Green felt
- Fake twigs
- Hot glue gun
Step 1: Wrap the yarn around the pom-pom maker and make your pom-poms. Snip the uneven pieces off the edges with scissors.
Step 2: Cut a leaf shape out of the green felt.
Step 3: Cut the twig pieces down to size, about 1 inch long.
Step 4: Glue the stem and leaf in the center of the pom pom.
Step 5: String a handful of pom-pom pumpkins on some yarn for a festive, pumpkin garland or simply place a handful of pumpkins around your home.
That's it. Super simple and fun! You could turn these pumpkins into Jack-O-Lanterns with a few face pieces of black felt glued to the front!
I hope you have a great first day of October! What are you looking forward to this month?
